IAT Level 2 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Husbandry

 

This entry level qualification is designed as an introduction to animal technology. It focuses on ensuring that you recognise the importance of high standards of routine care and animal husbandry and gives an insight into the legal responsibility of animal technologists, even at the most junior levels.

IAT Level 2 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science and Technology

 

Building on the basic knowledge of animal husbandry.

This Diploma builds on the animal husbandry knowledge, gained in the animal husbandry diploma, to give candidates a broad understanding of key scientific principles.

IAT Level 3 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science and Technology

 

This Diploma is designed for more experienced technologists and encourages you to develop a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of good animal welfare and scientific practice.  You are prepared for more responsibility within the Industry and for the transition to Higher Education if you so wish.

Laboratory Animal Science & Technology Higher Education

 

The IAT awards three Higher Education (HE) qualifications, which can lead to a full B.Sc. or higher degrees.

 

The HE programme is awarded by the IAT but delivered through the College of Laboratory Animal Science & Technology (CLAST).

 

The HE qualifications offered are:

  • IAT Level 4 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science & Technology

  • IAT Level 5 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science & Technology

  • IAT Level 6 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science & Technology
