About the IAT

 

The IAT was founded in 1950 and is the foremost professional body in the field of Animal Technology.

 

By our activities we continue to advance and promote excellence in technology and the practice of laboratory animal care and welfare.

The IAT Council

 

The IAT is managed by a maximum of 24 elected members who form Council, who act as the Directors of the Institute, which operates as a Registered Company Limited by Guarantee and not having a share capital.

 

Each year a minimum of eight places, being one third of Council, are subject to election by the membership
