With autumn now firmly established and Halloween creeping ever closer, there is a noticeable change in the air. Thankfully, the only things giving us a fright this season are the shorter evenings and the occasional inbox full of unread emails!

another edition of the IAT newsletter. Inside you will find the latest updates, celebrations, and highlights from across the organisation, showcasing the continued innovation, collaboration and
achievements of our community.
One such achievement is the hard work and dedication that has gone into creating a new resource, Laboratory animal science and technology: entry-level. This is now listed in the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre publications repository. Published on 29 September 2026, the manual is intended for staff caring for animals used for scientific purposes and for the providers delivering their training.
